At the age of 14, Erin Gill-Wilson started her own nonprofit organization,Mentally E.A.T. (Evolve Achieve Transform) with Erin. Mentally E.A.T. allowedErin to speak and host online sessions to address the needs and problems facing the youth in her community. These addressed topics such as Mental Health,Financial Literacy, and Self Advocacy.

In addition to her nonprofit, Erin has been asked by the University of theSciences, in partnership with Youth Action, to serve as a guest speaker on the topic of anti-racism, and to develop other presentations to share her views on the mounting gun violence and the lack of equity in education in the city ofPhiladelphia. Erin has also been an intern for the Office of PA Attorney General during the summer of 2021.

She now acts as an Executive Director of Advocacy and Programs at Urbed Inc.,a nonprofit organization that works towards giving Philadelphia students the education they deserve. Recently graduating from George Washington CarverHigh School for Engineering and Science, Erin will be attending Delaware StateUniversity, majoring in Political Science in the fall.

When asked what change she wishes to orchestrate, Erin’s answer was simple and powerful: “combat racial disparities in the criminal justice and education system and promote the importance of mental wellness for the Black/AA community.”
